In the post-pandemic era that questions whether student success will ever look “normal” again, this interactive/experiential session examines the current reality of the challenges facing college students, what the "new normal" of success may look like, and ways to support students from a holistic, nonclinical perspective. Participants hear an overview of current national trends, learn about Trinity University’s Student Success Team and Case Management programming, and engage with case studies to practice how to creatively support students toward success. Although this session focuses on college students, all mental or physical health professionals, educators, parents, and other community members will be able to identify how this applies to the youth in their lives.
Objectives:
- An understanding of post-pandemic student challenges and needs
- How to critically examine personal & systemic beliefs around student success
